Montage Laguna Beach Engagement Photos - Orange County Engagement Session

I know I say it every time I blog about an engagement session but I can’t help it… I LOVE ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS!!!!!

This engagement session was no exception. Since these two had such crazy schedules leading up to their big day and to top it off accepted new jobs and a big move… we weren’t able to find a date for their engagement session until about a month before their wedding day. I was so excited to finally get to meet Jennifer and Justin and I was even more excited to find out that they had chosen a beach for their engagement session. The engagement session started off a little more simple.. I try to keep in mind when shooting that about 90% of my clients have never had professional photos taken (high school yearbook doesn’t count). With this in mind my focus in the beginning is to get my couples to feel comfortable with me. This is after all supposed to be fun! :) These two warmed up quickly and close to the end of our session I asked if they would like to get in the water (please keep in mind it was September in California …… the water was absolutely FREEZING). But with smiles on their faces they said, “sure why not”?!

As I said it was freezing

But to say they were good sports about it all would be an understatement!

I think it was worth it..

Montage Laguna Beach ….. what’s not to love?! Views for days with all the perfect rocky beach spots. We are in LOVE with this location for engagement sessions. Laguna Beach never disappoints us. We had a beautiful cloudy day and the perfect couple. This stunning bride to be is a sports news anchor in Arizona… I know right?! What a rediculously awesome job! Such a gorgeous engagement session at Montage Laguna beach! My job as an Orange County wedding photographer and engagement photographer is to guide my couples into posing positions and of course get them giggling. I have always been blessed with couples that are so CLEARLY in love with each other but these two!!! OMG! These two took little to no guidance at all! They were just naturally this adorable! Thomas F Riley Wilderness Park Engagement Session

Such a dreamy engagement session at Thomas F Riley Wilderness Park!! These two have so much love for each other…we can’t wait to watch them say “I do” next weekend!! As I say in EVERY engagement post, I LOVE engagement sessions!! Two people completely in love with each other announcing to the world they will be spending their lives together ……. what’s not to love? We could not be more proud of this session! Leoness Cellars Winery Engagement Session

If you haven’t visited Temecula Wine Country you need to. The stunning beauty commands your attention and of course the wine isn’t bad either. With so many beautiful places to get married in Temecula, Leoness Cellars is one of our favorites! This winery was recently updated and added a wonderful restaurant which is a MUST if you’re in the area. The stunning ceremony site overlooks the vineyard and is the perfect location to say “I do”. Since we clearly love this venue we were super excited to have the opportunity to photograph this couple’s engagement session at Leoness Cellars Winery. When you have AMAZING couples to work with life is so much more fun! These two were a blast….we had lots of laughs and cuddly moments surrounded by the luscious grapevines which made my job much easier. Thomas F Riley Wilderness Park - Engagement Session

The love they show for each other is insurmountable. This engagement session took place at one of our favorite locations Thomas F Riley Wilderness Park in Orange County. This location has so much beauty from the lush forest feel, to the stunning brush hills that drape to make stunning landscape photos. We had so much fun with this couple and loved that we had the opportunity to photograph their love. Wedding photography is our favorite but the day is even better when we have already worked with our couples. Its such a good feeling to build a relationship with your bride and groom as their wedding photographer before their wedding day. Congratulations on tying the knot you two!

Treasure Island Park - Laguna Beach - Engagement Session

Photographing couples in their favorite locations with all of that love and emotion is truly the best. Treasure Island Park in Laguna Beach is one of our favorite engagement session spots. We are totally in love with the whole scene from the stunning waves to the rock landscapes that form the perfect tunnel for our couples to stand under, we just can’t get enough of this gorgeous spot. 

This couple holds a special spot in my heart. This beautiful bride’s mom is my AMAZING hairstylist! I always consider it the ultimate compliment when family friends consider us to be their wedding photographers. We had so much fun and to many laughs photographing these two. We can’t wait for these two to get married in March at Coto Valley Country Club!

Engagement Photos @ California Scenario - Costa Mesa

Engagement photography sessions are so important to have. This time before the wedding allows your wedding photographer the chance to get to know you and your fiancé. Feeling comfortable with your wedding photographer is crucial since you will be with your wedding photographers most of the day. Wedding photography and wedding videography will be your two main vendors throughout your wedding day that you will see the the most.

Krystal & Josh at Pearl Beach in Laguna Beach

What a fun couple! These two were a blast to work with! When they arrived on location these two had a large duffle bag. We weren't quite sure why until Krystal smiled and said we brought a ton of outfit changes. :) We were thrilled to hear this! It makes our job so much more fun to try different styles based on clothing. This obviously made our job of being a couples' photographer easier because they are a good looking couple! But the amount of giggling, smiling, and obviously love they showed for each other really show in these photographs.

Being an Orange County wedding photographer is such a rewarding job. Not only do we have the privilege of capturing the happiest moments of a couples life (their wedding day), but we also get to capture their love before the wedding while they are engaged. Being engaged is such an amazing, exciting, stressful (just because planning a wedding is overwhelming), and of course life changing time in a couple's life. We have the joy and privilege of capturing the giggles, smiles, and cuddles of our couples before they say "I do".

When our couples reserve our services for their engagement session and wedding day, our goal is to be a support system. We had the best time photographing this couple at Treasure Island Park near The Montage in Laguna Beach. These two have been together for a long time and are clearly so in love. We had all smiles with this beautiful couple. It's always such a pleasure photographing someone else's love. To say that Nichole and I love our job would be a complete understatement! There is nothing better then loving what you do. We are so lucky to be wedding photographers and be able to capture lifestyle photography. Thank you both so much for allowing us to photograph you! Orange County Couples Photography

This awesome couple was too much fun to work with! They wanted their couple photos be taken at a local park in Lake Forest. They felt that since they are both kids at heart that it was the perfect spot. I actually photographed the these two about two years ago! I can’t believe it’s been that long.... but I had to share this super fun photography shoot. We love capturing the fun raw emotion of our couples. During this couple’s photography session it started pouring rain!! But we rocked it out anyway and we think these photos were definitely a success. Sierra & Brandon at O'Neill Regional Park

Christmas pictures is always a must this time of year. But we know finding the perfect photographer can be a journey. Just always remember that one of the most important parts to picking your photographer is that you feel comfortable with them. You have to be able to loosen up and have fun with each other, so that your photographer can capture those fun candid moments together. 

This awesome couple is our cousin and his beautiful girlfriend. We had a ton of fun photographing these two. As photographers we are constantly offering to photograph our families, it always helps to practice and try new poses with our non paying clients. We are so lucky to have such an awesome family. O'Neill Regional Park Engagement shoot

This outstanding couple never stopped laughing. We had the best time traipsing through O'Neill Regional Park. This bride and groom to be work with horses and are hoping to someday own their own horse farm. Being a HUGE animal lover I immediately liked them even more! Tell me you can see my vision of engagement photos with horses!! Anyway, needless to say I'll be staying in contact with these two down to earth souls. We LOVED this couple and their spunky personality!
